Sun sets on an incredible summer.
At the beginning of the summer my family and I started on a brand new journey.
We not only moved from Tulsa to California, we moved into a new season of our lives. After 20 years of student ministry, God asked us to begin again and we have embraced the challenge.
This summer has been nothing less than a whirlwind of blessings. We sold our house, found a great rental just down the road from the church, got our kids enrolled in a great Christian School and have seen God move on our behalf like never before.
When we arrived we had eight incredible college students from all over the country want to join our team here in the Central Valley as interns.
We did a ministry partner push, casting the net to see who would like to serve in the student ministry each week and have been blown away by the number of people wanting to play a part.
Every Wednesday we gathered together to worship Jesus, preach Jesus and build community and God has blessed our efforts. In the past 12 weeks we have grown from 60 to a high of 293. We have welcomed over 225 first time visitors and 80 young people have crossed the line of faith, accepting Jesus as their personal savior.
Each week as we have seen more and more young people come and join our family, I have marveled at how good God is and how glad I am that He called us here.
This has been a summer that I will always remember.
Even though the sun is setting on what has been and incredible season of ministry, I know that a new day is dawning and God is getting ready to make himself known in the Central Valley.
I can’t believe I get to be a part.
